The Perfect Product of Neuroticism

The Perfect Product of Neuroticism is my upcoming concept album. When listened to in order, it tells an incredibly vulnerable and rare story about my descent into darkness. It comes from a place of survival, and it represents my lived experience during a period before and while producing the album.

As evident from the titles, the album deals with a range of mental illnesses and issues that are rarely talked about, especially in art. However, it is clearly and obviously NOT a medical or scientific piece. It is purely artistic, and about my own personal experiences and challenges with those issues. 

But beside this overwhelmingly personal aspect of it, I also see it carrying a certain social responsibility due to the sensitive, misunderstood, and taboo nature of these topics. Because of this fact, I have done and taken great care, research, and attention to detail in writing the lyrics so they convey the concepts both powerfully and responsibly; even though that was an extremely difficult balance as self-expression and emotional release have been my main goals throughout. 

One of the main results of this care is that the lyrics do not include any graphic or violent details, but at the same time, communicate the painful experiences effectively. And also to accommodate those who may not want to be exposed to the content, appropriate warnings will accompany the songs on the platforms that support them (like YouTube).

Considering all of these points, the album is clearly an uncomfortable and difficult emotional journey that dares to say things that the society at large doesn't want to be said. 

Below, you can read about some more specific facts about the album's form and content, aside from its controversial themes:

The album is mostly in English, with one track (second) and a few sections in other songs in Persian. 

Being mostly electronic, it is a musical departure from my previous work; though it is still an underground production and can be considered outsider music.

It is also the last piece in my concept album trilogy, comprising of this album, My True Self, and The Hate Trilogy. The way they work together is that the story starts from My True Self, but at the end of that, the listener can choose whether to go to The Hate Trilogy or The Perfect Product of Neuroticism from there. 

The overarching story is composed in a way that works / makes sense either way, but offers two completely different paths emotionally. Therefore, the overall story is non-linear, but carefully constructed.

Finally, The Perfect Product of Neuroticism is still in production, and is currently scheduled to be released worldwide on July 9, 2025.
